These socks are designed in a fingering weight sock yarn and are worked from the top of the cuff down to the toe, with some subtle calf shaping, ankle stripes with contrast colour detail. They require at least intermediate knitting skills including a kitchener stitch technique.
The Pair of socks can be made in the Main and contrast colour combination or just in the one colour - your choice.
Three adult sizes: small ( medium large) - choose size that will stretch to fit your foot. Socks are intended to be worn with approx. 2-3cm negative ease. Length measurements (to leg and/or foot) may be adjusted but may require additional yarn than stated. All measurements are approximate.
- Leg length from ankle: 16 (17, 18) cm
- Foot length: 23 (25, 27) cm
- Calf circumference: 19 (21, 23.5) cm
- Foot circumference 19 (21, 23.5) cm
Gauge of pattern is 34 sts and 44 rows over 10cm stocking stitch swatch using 2.25mm needles.
Quantity of Yarn required (based on a sock yarn (with nylon) with approximately175m per 50g ball)
Main colour: 2 (2, 3) balls
Contrast colour: 1 (1, 1) ball
