An project suitable for just beyong beginner knitters, Balance is an modern sweater with slim fitted sleeves,a scoop neckline and a funky necklace made from stuffed pods. Made in pieces and seamed at the sides and sleeves.
Designed mainly in Rowan Kidsilk Haze, this uses simple stockinette and garter stitch patterns. It sets out 6 adult womens sizes from UK8 to UK18 (approx. Bust measurement 81cm / 86cm / 91cm / 97cm / 102 / 107cm)
Pattern gauge is 25 stitches x 34 rows to 10cm swatch in stockinette using 3.25mm needles.
Yardage (based on 210m per ball) between 5 and 6 x 25g balls of Rowan Kidsilk Haze depending on size. Necklace uses one ball of a 10ply weight yarn - Rowan Kid Classic.
Needles: 1 pair of each of 3.25mm and 2.75mm straight needles or as required to get the pattern gauge. A set of 5mm DPNs to make the necklace (optional).
