Aida is a cute knitted pull-on striped beanie with i-cord tassels to keep baby cosy and the pattern is suitable for the average knitter. It is knitted flat in two colours of yarn stripes and then sewn together. Add any number of tassels sewn at the crown.
Designed for Rowan in Baby Cashsoft Merino or any suitable 4-5 ply yarn that knits to a gauge 25sts x 34 rows to 10cm stocking stitch swatch using 3.25mm needles.
7 sizes available from newborn to 3 years.
Yardage (based on 130m per 50g ball of Rowan Baby Cashsoft Merino) Colour A: between 1 and 2 balls and Colour B: between 1 and 2 balls depending on size. Sample pictured uses 105 Vintage Pink and 102 Cream colours.
Needles:
1 pair of each of 3mm and 3.25mm straight needles or as required to get the pattern gauge.
Set of 3mm double pointed needles for i-cord tassel.
