Countrywide Yarns knitting pattern for a V-neck vest with ribbed hem, armbands and neckband. Designed in a DK weight merino wool yarn and suitable for the striped effect of a variegated yarn such as Mandala DK.
Four sizes from teens (XXS), XS, S and M based on chest sizes of approx. 72 (77, 81, 86) cm
Note that the FINISHED vest should measure approx. 77 (82, 86, 91) cm which is approx. 5cm of positive ease.
Constructed in pieces and seamed, this pattern is suitable for advanced beginners who can achieve basic shaping and pick up stitches around a neck and armhole.
Yarn. Balls Required: 3 (4, 4, 5) x 100 gram balls based on 200 m per 100g.
Needle size: 3.25mm and 4mm
Tension: 22 stitches and 30 rows in stocking stitch using 4mm needles. We suggest knitting up a sample swatch before starting to check tension/gauge so that the vest will fit as expected.
