Babies and Toddlers will be cosy in this cool Fair Isle Yoke overalls or one piece knitted suit. Designed in a soft unshrinkable 4ply weight Merino wool yarn with 3 sizes.
Knitted in stocking stitch with colourwork details on the yoke and corrugated ribbed arm and leg cuffs, it is made in the round and flat using circular needles. Minimal sewing up is required under the arms, the inside leg seam and on the overlapping button bands. This is more of an intermediate skill project.
Sized to fit age, approximately
- Newborn - 3 months
- 6-9 months
- 12-18 months
Gauge: 28sts and 40 rows over 10cm stocking stitch swatch knitted on 3.25mm needles.
Materials:
Approx. yardage: 350 metres plus up to another 350 metres of combined contrast colours (based on 175 metres per 50 gram ball).
Main colour - 2 balls
Contrast Colour 1 - 1 ball
Contrast Colour 2 - 1 ball
Needles sizes: 2.75mm and 3.25mm circular needles both with 60cm cable.
Also needed, between 8 to 10 buttons, stitch markers and holders. Tapestry wool needle for sewing up.
Suitable for any 4Ply wool yarn and designed in Sesia Mistral 4ply Merino Wool yarn spun in Italy.
