Knitting pattern for a man's sweater with crew neck and ribbed detail on the sleeves designed for both 8ply and 12ply weight wool yarn.
Skill Level: Intermediate, knit in pieces and sewn together.
Measurements: (S (M, L, XL)
To fit Chest: 90-95 (100-105, 110-115, 120-125) cm
Actual Size: 110 (120, 130, 140) cm
Length: 67 (68, 69, 70) cm
Sleeve Length: 48cm for all sizes.
Materials: Yarn should ideally be a 100% wool with either an 8ply DK or 12ply chunky weight.
8Ply version: Approx yardage: 1300 (1400, 1600, 1700) metres
12Ply Sweater: Approx 1050 (1125, 1275, 1350) metres
Gauge: 8ply - 22 stitches and 30 rows over 10cm square swatch using 4mm needles.
12ply - 17 sts and 23 rows using a 5.5mm needle.
Recommended Needles (as needed to make gauge): 8ply - 3.25mm and 4mm. 12ply 4.5mm and 5.5mm or as required to make the correct Gauge.
Also required: four stitch holders and wool needle for sewing up..
