The Wednesday Sweater is worked from the top down. First the back is worked back and forth, while the slant of the shoulders is shaped with short rows to create a good fit.
After this, each shoulder is worked separately back and forth on the circular needles. The shoulders are then joined to from the front yoke. At the underarm, the front and back are joined and the body is worked in the round on the circular needles.

Gauge: 15 sts x 24 rows = 10cm square swatch in stocking stitch after washing and blocking
16-17 sts x 24 rows = 10cm square swatch in twisted rib (k1 tbl, p1 tbl) after washing and blocking (gauge for turtleneck collar and rib edges at cuffs and hem)
Needles: Circular needles: 5mm / 40, 60 and 80 and/or 100cm; Double-pointed needles: 5mm (unless the Magic Loop technique is used)
Materials: 500 (500) 500-550 (550) 600 (650) 650 (700) 700-750 grams of a DK weight yarn based on 50 g = 100 metres held together with 150 (150) 150 (150) 150 (150) 150 (200) 200 grams of Silk Mohair based on approx 25 g = 212 m.
