The Weekend Hat is worked in 1 x 1 rib and has a folded edge. Double knitting is worked along the folding edges to ensure that these stay in place.

Six Sizes: 0-1 years (2-3 years) 3-9 years (S) M (L)
Finished Hat Measurements (approx): Fits head circumference 46-48 (49-50) 51-53 (54-56) 57-59 (60-63) cm
Gauge: 24 stitches x 29 rows in 1 x 1 rib (k1, p1) = 10cm square swatch on 3.5mm needles.
Suggested Needles: 3.5mm / 40 cm circular needle and 3.5mm double-pointed needles, unless using Magic Loop technique or the required needles to obtain gauge.
Yarns
Suggestion 1: One Strand. 100 (100) 150 (150) 150 (150) grams of a wool DK 8ply yarn based on meterage of 50g = 108m; or
Suggestion 2: (two strands held together) 100 (100) 150 (150) 150 (150) grams of a light 4ply fingering yarn based on meterage of 50g = 235m
