1935 Baby Flower Bud Blanket 4ply Knitting Pattern

This knitting pattern is for a heirloom looking baby blanket that is designed in a fingering/ 4ply weight yarn with moss stitch border and an easily followed 12 row stitch pattern.

It requires intermediate knitting skills as the pattern has a border and textured stitch pattern worked at the same time.

One size only: 50cm x 85cm

Yarn required (approx.) 850 metres of 4ply wool or Indiecita Alpaca 4ply yarn (5 balls).

Please note that any alterations to the pattern may require extra yarn than stated. All measurements are approximate.

Gauge/Tension: 25sts and 32 rows to 10cm square of stocking stitch using 3.5mm needle.

Needles & Notions: 3.5mm knitting needles (80cm long circular needle preferable), blunt tapestry wool needle to sew in yarn ends.
