Product Information
Designed by Debra Kinsey Knits
The Weekender Beanie and Scarf set is designed to be knitted in a light and airy Bulky or 14ply weight alpaca & fine merino blend yarn, Laja 50g (43% alpaca, 43% merino, 14% polyamide).
The pattern explores a couple of different colourwork techniques. The simple mosaic pattern on the beanie creates an interesting geometric detail between the colour blocks. Alternatively, the mosaic pattern between the colour blocks can be omitted or the beanie can be worked in a single colour.
The scarf uses a shadow knitting technique to create a subtle optical illusion. It is worked in 2-row stripes. Every right-side row is a knit row and every wrong-side row is worked in off-set garter ridges which amplify the colour.
This beanie and scarf require average to intermediate knitting skills.
