Product Information

This is the Mohair version of the Oslo Hat. If you would like to make the non mohair version, click here.

The Oslo Mohair Hat is worked from the bottom up in stocking stitch. The first part of the hat is worked on a 40cm circular needle, while the top of the hat is worked either on double-pointed needles or on a circular needle using the Magic Loop technique.

Begin by working a swatch to check that you have the correct gauge.

Seven Sizes: baby (child) junior small (junior large) adult S (adult M) adult L

Finished Hat Measurements: (approx)  Fits head circumference 47-48 (49-50) 51-52 (53-54) 55-56 (57-59) 60-63 cm

Gauge: 23 sts x 32 rows =10 x 10cm swatch in stocking stitch on 3mm needles or as needed to get gauge.

Suggested Needles:
Circular needles: 3mm / 40cm
Double-pointed needles: 3mm unless using Magic Loop technique.

Materials:

Yarns: 50 (50) 50 (50) 100 (100) 100 grams of a light 4ply or 3ply yarn based on meterage of 50 g = 210m held together with 25 (25) 25 (25-50) 50 (50) 50 grams of any lace weight Silk Mohair fluffy based on meterage of 25g = 212m.
