PetiteKnit Knitting Patterns 3ply / light fingering 8Ply / DK yarn Cardigans & Jackets Fluffy Top Down Two Yarns Held Together

Product Information

The Copenhagen Cardigan is knit flat from the top down with raglan increases and is knitted with two strands of yarn held together throughout for a soft and fluffy feel. The neckline is shaped with short rows. The cardigan is knit in stocking stitch, with a vertical rib along the front edges for the button bands. The buttonholes are worked at the end (so you do not need to work them as you knit the button band). As an extra detail, the Copenhagen Cardigan features inside pockets. The sleeves are knit in the round in stocking stitch either on double pointed needles (dpns) or on circular needles using Magic Loop technique.

Six Sizes: XS (S) M (L) XL (XXL)
The sizes are designed to fit an approximate bust circumference of around 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) cm, and have those extra 6-11cm of positive ease built into the pattern, This allows a degree of movement while wearing and allows for wearing layers beneath the cardigan.

Finished Measurements of Garment
Bust circumference: 91 (96) 101 (106) 116 (126) cm
Total length: 51 (53) 55 (56) 57 (58) cm

Size guide: The Copenhagen Cardigan is a short cardigan and it is designed to be worn with a positive ease of approximately 6-11cm at the bust. Measure yourself to find the best size for you before casting on. For instance, if you have a bust measurement of 87 cm, you should knit a size S.

Gauge: 21 stitches x 28 rows = 10 x 10cm in stocking stitch on 4mm needles with 2 strands of yarn held together, after blocking.

Suggested needles: Circular needles: 3.5mm and 4mm / 60 or 80cm; Double-pointed needles: 3.5mm and 4mm needles, unless using the Magic loop method on the sleeves, or the required needle size to obtain gauge.
