Product Information
From the Queen of Socks, Rachel Coopey, comes this gorgeous range of delicately coloured yarns. It is a fine superwash merino with nylon which makes it a really fabulous sock yarn but it is also for perfect for light weight shawls and other accessories as it is soft and squeezable. The hanks are 50 grams which also makes it great for Fair Isle, colour work and stripes as well.
Please Note that 1 hank will usually make 1 single adult sock, not a pair. Also, larger and/or wider feet or longer socks, may take more yardage.
As it is quite light weight, more a light fingering 3ply than a 4ply, it is definitely one to swatch before starting a pattern but it does knit well to Rachel’s own sock pattern books (click here) using the recommended needle size. 75% Merino Wool, 25% Nylon
212m per 50 gram hank
Gauge:. 36sts per 10cm in stocking stitch (on 2.5mm needles)
Recommended Sock Needle size: 2.25mm but depending on individual tension anywhere between 2mm - 2.75mm
Superwash - Gentle machine wash on 30 degrees Celcius temperature.
