Product Information
Brooklyn is a knitting pattern for a comfy long cardigan with dropped shoulders and sloped neck band in four adult sizes. For extra practicality and ease, it is made largely in stocking stitch and has 2 optional pockets styles and long ribbed cuffs.
Four Sizes: S (M, L, XL)
To fit Bust: 75-80 (85-90, 95-100, 105-110) cm
Actual Size - Finished Measurements (approx. after blocking): 110 (120, 130, 140) cm
Length: 69 (70, 71, 72) cm
Sleeve Length (all sizes): 45cm
Yarn thickness / weight: DK 8ply
Gauge: 22 stitches and 30 rows over 10cm square swatch using stocking stitch pattern using 4mm needles.
Construction: knit in pieces and sewn together, Button band stitches are picked up and knitted on a circular needle (with a long cable to accomodate the large number of stitches).
Skill Level: Intermediate.
Materials:
Recommended yarn: Bellissimo 8 Extra-fine 100% Merino DK 8Ply
Yarn Quantities: 12 (13, 14, 15) x 50g balls (based on 125 metres per 50g ball) or total of approx. 1500 1625, 1750, 1875) metres of equivalent 8ply DK weight merino wool.
Needles and Notions:
3.25mm and 4mm knitting needles or size needed to get correct tension.
3.5mm x 80 - 100cm circular knitting needle.
6 buttons.
Wool needle for sewing up.
