This knitting pattern is for a Striped Jumper and co-ordinating pants with contrast bands and I-cord drawstring for babies sizes to 18 months designed in a sport/ 5ply weight yarn with excellent twist in alpaca and wool blend - Sporti.
It requires intermediate knitting skills. Construction is knitting flat in pieces then sewn together with the neckbands picked up to finish.
Five Baby sizes: 3 (6, 9, 12, 18) months
Jumper:
To fit underarm: 40 (45, 47, 50, 53) cm
Actual measurement (approx): 46 (52, 56, 58, 62) cm
Length (approx): 26 (29, 31, 33, 35) cm
Sleeve length (approx): 13 (16, 18, 19, 21) cm
Pants:
Length (approx): 32 (37, 42, 47, 52) cm
Yarn required (approx.) Colour 1 - Contrast Colour 2 - Contrast Colour 3 (C1 / C2 / C3)
C1 2 -3-3-4-4 Charcoal
C2: 1-1-2-2-2 Mustard
C3: 1-1-1-2-2 Silver
balls of Sporti yarn with approximately 150 metres per 50g ball.
Please note that any alterations to the pattern may require extra yarn than stated. All measurements are approximate.
Gauge/Tension: 24sts and 32 rows to 10cm square of stocking stitch using 3.5mm needle.
Needles & Notions: 3.5mm and 3.25mm straight knitting needles, 2 Stitch Holders, Tapestry yarn needle to sew seams. 3.25mm Crochet Hook for Pants.
