Crucci presents a 4ply V-neck Rib Vest, Hat and Bootees for babies aged newborn to 12 months in a versatile 4ply wool yarn.
Construction is knit in parts (back, front, neckband, button-band and buttonhole-band), from bottom to top. The hat is also knit flat and seamed, with the booties likewise knit flat and seamed.
This is an intermediate pattern suitable for knitters who are familiar with increases and shaping.
Five sizes: 0 Months (3 Months, 6 Months, 9 Months, 12 Months)
To fit underarm (cm) 35 (40, 45, 47, 50)
Actual Chest Size (cm) 38 (43, 49, 51, 55)
Length to Shoulder (approx, cm) 22 (26, 29, 31, 33)
Hat to fit head (cm) 35 (40, 45, 47, 48)
Booties size 0-3 (3-6, 6-9)
Gauge: 28 sts and 36 rows over 10cm square swatch in stocking stitch using a 3.25mm knitting needle, or size as required to get the correct gauge.
Materials
4ply wool - between 1 and 2 50g balls for the Vest - see our range here
Also requires:
1 pair each of 3.00mm and 3.25mm for the Vest and Hat
1 pair of 2.75mm (3mm, 3.25mm) needles for the booties or size to give correct tension.
