Tallow is a knitting pattern for a relaxed A-Line singlet top with reverse stocking stitch texture and a deep scoop neck in four adult sizes.
Skill Level: Advanced which means a bit of concentration and patience is required. Knit in the round on circular needles from the bottom band up to the underarm, then split and worked flat up to the shoulders. The neckband stitches are picked up and purled to finish.
Measurements: S (M, L, XL)
To fit Bust: 75-80 (85-90, 95-100, 105-110) cm
Actual Size: 94 (104, 114, 124) cm
Length: 59 (60, 61, 62) cm
Yarn Thickness: DK 8ply based on a cotton yarn with 105m per 50g ball or similar natural fibre.
Recommended yarn: Fibra Natura Cottonwood, Alternatively try Bellissimo Orchard or Bellissimo Lucca.
Gauge: 20 stitches and 26 rows over 10cm square swatch of stocking stitch using 4.5mm needles.
Materials:
Yarn: 5 (6, 7, 8) x 50g balls of Fibra Natura Cottonwood. Or alternatively, a total of approx. 525 (630, 735, 840) metres of equivalent 8ply DK weight cotton or a cotton merino wool blend.
Recommended Needles: 4.5mm and 4mm circular needles or as needed to make gauge.
Also needed: 2 stitch holders, 2 stitch markers, wool needle.
