PetiteKnit Knitting Patterns Circular Yoke Fingering / 4Ply Knit-in-the-round Top-down Construction Vests and Tops

Product Information

The Adult sized Sunday Tee is knit from the top down. The circular yoke is worked in the round in rib pattern, shaped with increases. Body and sleeves are worked in the round in stocking stitch and are finished with a folded edge.

Size guide: The Sunday Tee should have a positive ease of 2-8cm, meaning it is designed to be 2-8cm larger in circumference than your widest upper body measurement. Those extra centimetres are already built into the pattern. Measure yourself to find the best size for you before casting on. For example, if you have a bust measurement of 87cm, you should knit a size S.

Nine Sizes: XS (S) M (L) XL (2XL) 3XL (4XL) 5XL
Sizes above are designed to correspond to a bust circumference of approx. 80-85 (85-90) 90-95 (95-100) 100-110 (110-120) 120-130 (130-140) 140-150 cm
Final finished at bust circumference: 87 (93) 97 (103) 113 (123) 131 (140) 151 cm
Length: 49 (52) 54 (56) 57 (58) 60 (64) 67 cm

Gauge: 28 stitches x 40 rows = 10 x 10cm square swatch in stocking stitch on 3mm needles after blocking.  Please note that these measurements are only achieved if the correct gauge is obtained. The swatch will help determine which needle size you need to achieve the correct gauge. Wash and block the swatch before taking any measurements from the knitted garment. Be aware that if you are knitting in a yarn that is different from that recommended yarn, the knitted fabric can grow or shrink when washed – this is the reason it is important that you wash your swatch before measuring your gauge.

Knitting Needles: Circular needles: 3mm / 60 and 80cm, 2.5mm / 80cm; 2mm / 40cm; Double-pointed needles: 2.5mm and 3mm.

Suggested yarn: Light fingering held in one strand with approx. total yardage of 940 (1175) 1175 (1410) 1410 (1645) 1645 (1645) 1880 metres.  We recommend Holst Garn Coast or Sesia Dahu or any of our fine Merino 4ply fingering yarns.
