Product Information
This knitting pattern by UK Handknitting Association consists of a timeless classic cabled Beanie, Scarf and Mittens set, with pom poms optional, for Aran (10ply) weight yarn.
All are knitted in pieces and sewn together. Scarf is folded and seamed. Cables usually need intermediate knitting skills but patience goes a long way!
Sizes:
Hat - to fit average sizesd ladies head.
Scarf: 20cm wide x 144cm Long.
Mittens - Small, Medium and Large.
Knit in Aran 10ply based on 195 metres per 100g ball yardage.
Yarn required: (approx.) of Aran weight yarn (not including yarn for pom poms):
Hat and mittens need approx. 200 metres
Scarf will require approx. 600 metres
Needle sizes: 4mm and 5mm or as required to get gauge.
Gauge: 18 sts and 24 rows for 10cm swatch of stocking stitch and 28 sts and 24 rows to 10cm of Cable pattern either using 5mm knitting needle.
Also requires a cable needle and a tapestry wool needle to sew seams.
