Dos Tierras means Two Lands, reflecting the South American sources of the two fibres found in this ultra-soft yarn. By spinning together 50% fine Uruguayan Merino wool with 50% baby alpaca from Peru, Malabrigo has created a DK weight yarn that is as versatile as it is beautiful.
This yarn ticks all the boxes with great stitch definition, a plush four plied textured yarn which makes a lovely drapey fabric and the famous Malabrigo palette of amazing kettle-dyed semi-solid and variegated colours will all help to show off your stitch work to its best advantage.Great for accessories and hand-wash-friendly garments, next-to-skin wear, lace, cables, colorwork, and textured stitches.

Dyelot Batches: Like all Malabrigo yarns, Malabrigo Dos Tierras is kettle-dyed in small batches of 5 skeins by artisan dyers and is full of subtle variation and beauty. We suggest buying enough in the same dyelot batch to complete your project as skeins may vary from bag to bag hence the separate dyelot listings. To ensure random color distribution, work from two balls of yarn at once, alternating a few rows from each ball.
