Designed by Jacqueline Cieslak, Plover is a lightweight cardigan in all-over half brioche stitch.

PLOVER is a featherweight cardigan with clean lines and quiet texture. It is named for the birds whose cheery presence kept us company during the memorable photoshoot on Popham beach. Knit in a rustic single ply at a loose gauge, this versatile sweater is just the thing for cool mornings on the coast or chilly evenings around a campfire. The pattern is worked seamlessly from the top down, allowing you to try it on as you go to ensure the perfect fit.

Gauge: 16 sts and 34 rows over 10cm square swatch in half brioche stitch, after blocking.

Finished Measurements: Pattern includes 9 sizes from 101.5cm - 183cm bust, intended to be worn with 15cn - 35cm of ease

Materials Used:

Suggested yarn is 100% wool slubby single ply yarns. Pattern suggests several weight yarns and links to a blog article on how to acheive.
Meterage: 800 to 2250 metres of fingering or possibly worsted weight yarn

Needle Size: 4mm 80-100cm circular needle or as required to get gauge. DPNs can be used for knitting the sleeves if the magic loop technique isn't used.

Notions; four or five x 19mm buttons, stitch markers, locking stitch marker, stitch holders or scrap yarn to hold stitches, darning needle.

Pattern Includes: Written Instructions, links to video tutorial and blog

Skill Level: Intermediate
