Ashford Patterns 3ply / light fingering Scarves & Cowls

Product Information

Designed by Brenda Green for Ashford in a fine 3ply weight wool yarn, this knitted pattern is for a picot edge crescent-shaped shawl worked flat in two coloured stripes worked flat in garter stitch. The skill required for this design is suitable for an intermediate knitter.

One Size measures approximately 170cm long by 34.5cm deep.

Yardage required: approx. 900m in two colours - a Main colour and a Contrast colour - of a light fingering or 4ply yarn preferably with wool in it.

Note that this shawl can be made using any light fingering wool yarn provided the gauge matches. Try it in Ashford Merino 4ply wool here or with one of the Holst Garn yarns - Holst Garn Noble, Holst Garn Coast or even in Katia Baby Nature Organic Merino.

Gauge: 23 stitches and 46 rows for 10cm in Garter Stitch using a 3.5mm needle. Use a different sized diameter needle if your gauge differs from that specified.

Needle size: 3.5mm or as required to make gauge.
