Pom Pom Press has collaborated with cult indie dyer Emily Foden of Viola Yarns to bring you a collection of 12 knitting patterns that celebrate the beauty and colour of the coldest season, evoking the warm glow that only beautiful knits can.
Knits About Winter celebrates the quiet magic of a snowy landscape, the meditative joy of creating cosy knits, and the beauty of unique yarn. Patterns include hats, mittens, socks, shawls, and four garments - all perfect to cuddle up with on a chilly day.
Also included are Emily’s charming stories about setting up her dye studio, and the development of her colourways and the designs for the book. Photographed by the author during a snowy Mooresburg winter, each image is a peek into the scenery and spaces that were integral to the book.
Knits About Winter debuted at the Rhinebeck festival in October 2018 and Knitnstitch is privileged to bring it to New Zealand so that you can devour it while the days are long and hot in anticipation of the return of the cooler seasons and getting your needles out.
