Printed Pattern by local designer, Alanna Penk.
This pattern is the bulky or 12 ply version of the Driftless Mitts and is knit in just 2 colours of the Ashford Tekapo 12 ply weight yarn. See here for colours.
These mitts are fast, easy and rewarding, and would be an excellent first-time colourwork project. They are knit in the round- with the option to knit flat- from the bottom up, increasing to create the thumb, and following a simple colourwork chart at the top. They were named after the rolling hills of the Driftless Region in Western Wisconsin.
