Ashford Merino Boucle Looped Yarn

We are very happy to offer another new yarn base that is perfect to use on its own, double stranded with other yarns (see the new Ashford Merino Boucle Brushed yarn here) or excitingly with Ashford Wool Dyes.

Ashford Merino Boucle Looped wool yarn is made from 82% Fine Merino and 18% Nylon binder and has an awesome looped texture which adds loft without weight for delicate looking garments. 

This is all ready to dye with the Ashford Wool Dyes and can be used for knitting, woven (See pictured example) or crocheted projects.  Use as is in its natural colour or custom dye your own fabulous creations!

Fibre Content: 82% Fine Merino 18% Nylon binder
Weight: close to an 8ply if knitted on its own. 4.5nm
Hank size: 100gm net at standard condition
Meterage: 450m (492 yds) per 100gm
Suggested sett 5dpi -7dpi.  Perfect for weaving on rigid heddle looms using the 5dpi reed.
Suggested needles 4mm - 8mm
Each skein has 4 "dyers ties" to ensure your skein stays intact while dyeing
Care - hand wash, dry flat, do not bleach
