Ashford Merino Boucle Brushed Yarn

We are very happy to offer another new yarn base that is perfect to use on its own, double stranded with other yarns (see it's sister yarn, the Ashford Merino Boucle Looped yarn here) or excitingly with Ashford Wool Dyes.

Ashford Merino Boucle Brushed  Yarn is made from 82% Fine Merino and 18% Nylon binder. We think it's a bit thicker than our usual "fluffies" somewhat close to an 8ply if knitted on its own using a 4mm or larger needle.

This is all ready to dye with the Ashford Wool Dyes and can be used for knitting, woven or crocheted projects.  Use as is in its natural colour or custom dye your own fabulous creations!

Fibre Content: 82% Fine Merino 18% Nylon binder
Weight: approx. 8ply weight or thicker depending on use. Fineness: 4.5nm
Hank size: 100gm net at standard condition
Meterage: 450m (492 yds) per 100gm
Suggested sett 5dpi -7dpi.  Perfect for weaving on rigid heddle looms using the 5dpi reed.
Suggested needles 4mm - 8mm
Each skein has 4 "dyers ties" to ensure your skein stays intact while dyeing
Care - hand wash, dry flat, do not bleach
