Woods Road Vest Pattern

The Wood Road is a seamless cardigan-style vest with a v-neck and applied ribbed bands with an overall garter stitch pattern for the body.

Made using aran/bulky weight yarn it has 10 sizes from 84cm to 130cm. Made to be worn with 5-10cm of positive ease.

Construction is seamlessly from the bottom up so a longer circular needle is required to take the larger number of stitches. Fronts and backs are separated at the underarm and then worked separately to the shoulders with armhole and v-neck shaping. Stitches are picked up for the front and arm bands.  Four or 5 buttons are needed depending on size chosen.

Finished Measurements: approx: 84 (89, 94, 99, 104, 109, 114, 119, 124, 130)cm

Gauge: 16 sts & 26 rows = 10cm in Garter Ridge stitch using either a 5.5mm needle or size needed to make gauge.

Needle Size: 5.5mm / 80cm circulars, 5mm / 80cm and 40cm circulars

Skill Level: advanced beginner or enthusiastic knitter of any experience. Techniques include Long tail cast on and 3 needle bind-off.
