Malabrigo Washted

A superwash version of the classic Worsted 100% Merino wool base from Malabrigo. While remaining true to the original softness of worsted, we ‘washed it’ so you can too, allowing more freedom and ease of care.

Having the same weight as Worsted, it can be used interchangeably for any projects you may have planned for Worsted.  Great for Accessories and garments, next-to-skin wear, cables, textured stitches, colorwork, anything where warmth and comfort are a factor!

Fibre: 100% Superwash Merino
Weight: 10 Ply / Aran / Worsted - knits up in either weight depending on your needle size.
Gauge: 18 sts = 10cm square swatch. We highly recommend swatching to ensure correct size, fit and quantities of yarn to purchase.
Recommended Needles: 4.5mm - 5.5mm
Metreage: 192 metres per 100gm hank
Care: Machine washable, gentle cycle, cold water. Do not tumble. Dry flat. We recommend Eucalan no-rinse Delicate Wash.
            
Dyelot Batches: Like all Malabrigo yarns, Washted is kettle-dyed in small batches of 10 skeins by artisan dyers and is full of subtle variation and beauty.  We suggest buying enough in the same dyelot batch to complete your project as skeins may vary from bag to bag hence the separate dyelot listings. To ensure random color distribution, work from two balls of yarn at once, alternating a few rows from each ball.
