Spun from the finest silk in China and the finest alpaca from Peru, this beautiful lace yarn combines the best of both fibres and will delight any yarn enthusiast. Baby Silkpaca hand dyed lace with its beautiful sheen, drape and softness highlights these wonderful fibres at their very best. There is a beautiful beaded lace cowl pattern called Whetu (pictured) that only uses one skein ofMalabrigo Baby Silkpaca Lace on Ravelry designed by a lovely and talented knitter and local NZ designer, Julie Monk.
Dyelot Batches: Like all Malabrigo yarns, Baby Silkpaca Lace is kettle-dyed in small batches of 5 skeins by artisan dyers and is full of subtle variation and beauty. We suggest buying enough in the same dyelot batch to complete your project as skeins may vary from bag to bag hence the separate dyelot listings. To ensure random color distribution, work from two balls of yarn at once, alternating a few rows from each ball.
Colours: Please view the colours on the Malabrigo website to get another photo representation. All cameras and computer monitors show the colours slightly differently, especially blues and reds. Send an email if you need advice.
